Tasting Notes

The 2011 vintage is a classic cool-climate style, with lovely poise and potential. Hand-harvested, barrel-fermented and lees-stirred, it is very elegant and complex, with rich citrus-fruit and stone-fruit flavours, a subtle seasoning of oak (22 per cent new), slightly biscuity and buttery notes, and a tight, long finish. Already offering a lot of pleasure, it should be at is best mid-2013+. Score - 5 Stars (out of 5). (Michael Cooper, Buyer's Guide to New Zealand Wines, 2013)
