TASTING NOTE: An interesting wine for a number of reasons, not the least of which being that it's 100% Sangiovese from Australia. Winemakers Down Under are increasingly experimenting with the Italian standout varietal, but this ros� goes well beyond simple curiosity. It's a bang on, stylish, desirable wine with engaging ripe strawberry notes. Crisp and fresh, it will make a pleasant sipper but will also pair well with salmon or grilled pork. Tasting Notes
The beginning of 2020 was marked by terrible fires in Australia; McLaren Vale was one of the regions that was spared. This McLaren Vale ros� is made from 100% Sangiovese, famous for the Brunello and Chianti wines of Tuscany. In Australia, experiments with the grape are creating outstanding wines. This one is elegant and classy, with ripe red fruit and crisp acidity.
