SLC means Select Lot Collection. The grapes are selected from specific vineyard blocks in the warm Osoyoos and Oliver areas of the Okanagan.
Tasting Notes
Tellingly called Syrah and not Shiraz, as it's more Rhône in style than Australian. Aromas of smoky blackberry, plum, cedar, bacon and black pepper dominate. Dry with supple fruit balanced out by good tannins and a late-finish freshness. Cellar it 2-3 years, or enjoy it tonight with osso buco, or roast leg of lamb with rosemary and garlic.
