Tasting Notes
In the Douro, the 2008 vintage is as good as their brilliant 2007. The vintage has its own unique character, as this wine ably expresses. Opaque ruby with intense notes of ripe fruit, spice and coconut. Dry, medium bodied, and fruit-forward, with a touch of spice on the palate. This is a real crowd-pleaser of a wine - fun and delicious. It will beautifully reward 2-3 years in the cellar, or pair it tonight with roasted chicken or pork tenderloin. (VINTAGES panel, Aug. 2010)
