Tasting Notes
This Zin admirably balances opulence with complexity. Intriguing nose of raspberry, sweet cherry, potpourri, cedar and spicecake. On the palate there is a delicious jam-like quality to the fruit, yet the wine remains superbly balanced and poised, with just a suggestion of off-dry character joining spicy accents. Medium-full bodied and very flavourful. Nice and long, layered finish. Savour alongside grilled leg of lamb with rosemary and garlic, or herbed game meats. (VINTAGES panel, Nov. 2011)
