Tasting Notes
The 2006 Prado Rey Crianza is a blend of 92% Tempranillo with the balance Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that spent 12 months in barrel followed by 3 months in oak vats. Opaque purple in color, it proffers an inviting nose of incense, violets, cedar, black cherry, and blueberry. On the palate it is quite rich, smooth-textured, and structured. It has enough ripe tannin to evolve for 2-3 years and should be at its best from 2013 to 2021. Score - 90. (Jay Miller, erobertparker.com, April 2010)
