Tasting Notes
As yet no bricking. A ripe, pretty and still relatively primary nose exhibits only a trace of secondary development along with a ripe blend of red and dark currant along with plenty of pungent earth/humus scents. There is both good richness and volume to the suave, round and caressing larger-scaled flavors that remain surprisingly structured in the context of what is typical for the average 2000 today, all wrapped in a mildly warm if solidly persistent finale. This is robust to the point of rusticity and I would describe it as old school Corton. It's not clear that this will ever completely harmonize before the fruit runs out but for now, I would continue to advise patience. Drink: Try from 2025+. Score - 92.
