Tasting Notes
This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz reminds us why the world fell in love with Australia's wines in the first place. Immediate charm is found on the nose with blackberry jam, blueberry, cassis, vanilla and toast. One sip and we find that this dry, medium-full-bodied wine has the bright fruit flavours promised on the nose as well as balanced acidity, alcohol and soft tannins. It won't overwhelm food and will pair nicely with Kobe beef sliders or beef brisket in a zesty sauce. (VINTAGES panel, Jan. 2012)
