This wine is a hedonistic delight. Filled with sweet blackberry fruit and coffee aromas on the nose that carry forward on the decadently plush palate. A superlative value in Amarone. Enjoy with a selection of fine cheeses or dark chocolate or even with light pastries such as pain au chocolat. It will also happily reward 2-4+ years in a cellar.
Tasting Notes
Warm spice and graphite notes accent the baked cherry and plum fruit of this medium- to full-bodied Amarone. Well-balanced, with savory notes of smoky mineral, espresso and herb playing on the ripe fruit and chewy tannins emerging on the finish. Drink now through 2025. Score - 90.
