Tasting Notes
...The vineyards are situated near Castelnuovo Berardenga, in an area where wines are endowed with particular fullness and strength. The winery expresses these features in a faithful and balanced style despite the considerable use of oak, mainly small casks. Not for the first time, the Poggiassai '11 is well-made: a blend of sangiovese and cabernet sauvignon with nicely polished fruity aromas and hints of spice and vanilla, while the palate is continuous and soft with a deep finish.
