Tasting Notes
Medium ruby in the glass. This Merlot demonstrates an exciting and complex nose with chocolate cake, spiced plum, ripe cherry, raspberry, and cedar all playing prominent roles. On the palate it is dry, medium-full bodied with lovely ripe tannins that are balanced perfectly by the acidity. Terrific fruit replays lead invitingly to a long finish. A rare still-remaining example of Ontario's stellar '07 vintage, this Merlot easily has the structure to age another 3-4 years. Enjoy with slow-cooked roast beef. (VINTAGES panel, Sept. 2010)
