Description
Burgundy is living wine history; this is known. The region is home to the most precise and famous examples of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the world, and has been for centuries. The Leflaive family has been part of this ever-evolving story since 1635, more than 18 generations. This wine was sourced from select sites in the Côte de Beaune, the Côte Chalonnaise and the Hautes Côtes, and will offer apple, pear and citrus tones with touches of smoke and a fine mineral undertone.
Tasting Notes
Smoke and citrus notes on the nose with apple, peach, pear and melon and a lovely mineral edge. Linear and refined, with great precision and a bright backbone of acidity that really drives the engine on this one. More mineral on the finish. (VINTAGES panel, Sept. 2014)
