Description
The blend for this soft, round and vibrant wine is traditionally in the 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah range. Only about 20% of the wines in the blend are given any oak treatment, which allows the fruit to really shine. This will be a fine match for grilled lamb or roast beef with grilled vegetables.
Tasting Notes
Barrel sample. Rather animal/autumn mulch nose. Sweet polished start but underneath it's a pretty rough diamond (though more polished than the average Rasteau). Very clean finish. Score - 16.5 (out of 20 (Distinguished)). (Jancis Robinson, MW, jancisrobinson.com, Jan. 1, 2014)
