Tasting Notes
The 2001 Barolo Brunate is a beautiful wine. Sweet dried cherries, flowers, tobacco and licorice are some of the nuances that emerge from the glass. Delicate floral and spiced notes continue to develop as the wine sits in the glass. The 2001 is in a beautiful place right now, as all of the elements are very nicely balanced. I don't see a ton of further upside in holding the 2001 much longer. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016. Score - 90. (Antonio Galloni, erobertparker.com, April 2012)
