Tasting Notes
The grapes for this wine are soft pressed and then 40% of the juice is drawn off (hence the name Barricato 40) and aged in oak barriques for 4-5 months. This juice is then blended with the other 60%, which has been patiently waiting in stainless steel. The result is a wine with pure apple and pear notes with an intriguing hint of vanilla. Soft and crisp, this great value wine is perfect for rich seafood dishes or roasted turkey. (VINTAGES panel, April 2015)
