Robert Parker rated this wine 90 - 92 , but did not provide a tasting note . ( erobertparker . com , April 2008 ) TASTING NOTE : Ruby - red . Very fresh , high - pitched aromas of kirsch , licorice and minerals : smells structured ! Then juicy , tight and penetrating ; quite firm and youthful but not hard . The mid - palate offers lovely perfume and dark fruit energy . Plenty of backbone here but the firm tannins are essentially seamless and pliant . Score : 91 (+?)
