Tasting Notes
An absolutely stunning value, this delivers complex suggestions of dark cherry, date, fig, tilled earth and a sprinkling of cracked pepper. Fine tannins, spicy fruit, a touch of prickly heat and a chewy finish. Nice elegance and restraint, especially given the boldness of the flavours. At its peak now through 2024, this will go well with beef-and-eggplant lasagna or freshly made cheeseburgers. Carbon-zero certified. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2019)
