TASTING NOTE : The 2005 Brunello di Montalcino flows with a vibrant core of perfumed red cherries , spices , tobacco and earthiness . Medium in body , the wine reveals outstanding length and a polished , refined finish . The bouquet is not as clean or focused as is usually the case , and the wine will benefit greatly from being opened an hour or two in advance . Anticipated maturity : 2010 - 2020 .
