Tasting Notes
The 2014 Gattinara Vigna Valferana is a more immediate Nebbiolo, with beautiful aromas that are a bit more broad in scope than other expressions' bouquets. You get some dark spice and a variety of herbal notes. There is a pretty sweetness, too, and a general grandeur to this profile. As beautiful as this 2014 is, Roberto Conterno is even more excited about the 2018 vintage that is coming down the line. Drink date: 2020-2030. Score - 93+.
