About this product
Twomey sources the grapes for their Merlot from their Soda Canyon Ranch, which is situated on volcanic soils in the southern part of the Napa Valley. This part of Napa experiences early morning fogs, which helps preserve freshness and drive as rich dark fruit flavours evolve. During the ageing process, the wine is racked from barrel to barrel in the classic Bordeaux technique known as soutirage traditionnel. This process helps round out the tannins in the wine, producing Twomey's characteristic softness and richness while also elevating the wine's aromatic character.
