TASTING NOTE : The 2009 Almalarga is 100 % Godello sourced from 80 - to 100 - year - old vines and aged in tank on its lees . Medium straw - colored with an expressive nose of wet stone , damp wool , apple , pear , white peach , and spring flowers , on the palate it displays a Chablis - like personality with an extra dimension of fruit , great concentration , and a vibrant , nervy character .
