Tasting Notes
Maranges was awarded appellation status in 1988. It shares some premier-cru sites with neighbouring Santenay and its vineyards have a primarily south/southwesterly aspect. Pinots from Maranges typically offer impressive dark fruit, earth and peppery spice notes, with pure mineral tones. You can expect this to continue to evolve for a minimum of 5-8 years. It will be ideal for pairing with roast beef.
