Tasting Notes
Perhaps best known for Pinot Noir, the Central Otago region nonetheless produces some spectacular Sauvignon Blanc. This one was fermented entirely with wild yeast and partially (40%) in old French oak, the latter to lend a touch of extra mouthfeel. Look for crunchy apple, gooseberry and sweetgrass, with a stony mineral undercurrent, and pair with pork belly or scallops.
