Tasting Notes
This Erste-Lage ('premier cru') site on loess clay containing sandstone and quartzite is located at the top of the R�desheim, adjacent to a forest which encourages large diurnal temperature swings. Consequently, even during a long, hot summer such as 2018, this wine retains a glacial freshness and amazing balance. It has a lovely texture and good depth of flavour, with notes of apple, lime and even some apple skin. Creamy, woody hints fill out the wine on the mid-palate.
