This is a unique sparkling wine because it is made exclusively with Cabernet Franc grapes , all of which are sourced from within the Chinon AC . As the Chinon AC does not permit sparkling wine , it can only be marketed as a VMQ ( Quality Sparkling Wine ) without geographical designation . Look for aromas of red berries and spring flowers . On the palate , it is soft and ripe with a fine mousse and a long , supple , intriguing finish . An affordable and fascinating alternative to other sparklers .
