It may be playfully named , but Southbrook ' s Whimsy ! is seriously good . It is made with their finest grapes , in very tiny lots , and only in the best vintages . For example , this 2009 Chardonnay ' s whole production run is sourced from only two barrels . They use a unique Damy - coopered barrel that is slightly larger than the average 225L barrique ( it is 265L ). Look for intense flavours that expertly bring together fruit , oak and acid into a unique and compelling whole .
