Taking a cue (or rather, a 'Y') from Château d'Yquem in Bordeaux, who have dubbed their dry white wine 'Y,' the team behind Quinta da Romaneira has named this dry red wine 'R.' Local grapes Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinto Cão are blended with Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) and Syrah to create a complex, dark-fruited, spicy wine with the structure to pair with pepper steaks, meaty stews or firm cheeses.
