TASTING NOTE : Ann Sperling has enjoyed a successful winemaking career in Ontario , including being named the Winemaker of the Year at the 2004 Ontario Wine Awards . Sperling Vineyards allows Ann , who was raised in Kelowna , to close the circle of her winemaking history . The 2009 is this venture ' s first release of Gewurztraminer . Quite pleasant and aromatic with ripe peach , spice and rose petal notes . Off - dry , with bright balancing acidity and a medium - long finish .
