About this product
Quinta Meandro do Vale began in the late 1800s as the passion project of Antónia Adelaide Ferreira , owner of the largest winemaking estate in the Douro at that time . Her great - great - great - grandson Francisco Javier de Olazabal has managed the estate since the 1970s . This wine blends 38 % Touriga Nacional , 30 % Touriga Franca , 20 % Tinta Roriz and a handful of other varieties , all trodden by foot in the old - school way before being vinified in stainless steel and aged in French Allier oak barriques . Look for a complex array of dark berry and plum fruits , spices , and tarry notes .
