Description
Rich Frank has been involved in intense Hollywood film and television for years but in the 80s discovered an oasis from the pressures while vacationing in Napa. He purchased the historic Larknead winery in the early 90's. This wine will offer great complexity, structure and depth with finely marked notes of pure cassis and blackberry.
Tasting Notes
Blended of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, the deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon has a nose of cassis, blackberries and black cherries, with cedar, Marmite toast and pencil shavings nuances. Medium to full-bodied and firm in the mouth, it has a decent core but is simple and a tad lacking in persistence. Drink Date: 2017-2028. Score - 90.
