Glenora is the world's first producer to age in used Icewine Barrels. Barrels come from the international award winning Jost Winery, Nova Scotia.
Tasting Notes
Yellow gold colour with an intriguing nose, including dried fruits, honey, poached pear, vanilla bean and tropical fruit tones. As this is cask strength (54.6%/vol.), without water it is dry, very hot and yet still very fruity and alive. With a thimble or two of water, it is still quite dry, the heat is gone and the fruit is still vibrantly present, with a smoothed-out texture and an even longer finish than without water.
