About this product
To create a new expression of a whisky distiller ' s product , an independent bottler , such as Gordon & McPhail , will purchase casks of malts from producers , mature them in their own cellars and bottle them under their schedule . In this case , Gordon & McPhail purchased this cask from Dailuaine from the 1997 distillation and aged it until 2011 . Though it still has signature aromas and flavours of Dailuaine , it will not reflect their house style because it is from only one cask ( in - house Single Malts are usually a blend of several malts from one distiller to create a house flavour profile ). Dailuaine is probably best known as a major part of all levels of the Johnnie Walker blends .
