About this product
The McManis family succeeded in having River Junction designated as an AVA in 2001. This is one of the few California appellations that is home to a single producer. The tiny pocket that makes up River Junction is situated at the confluence of the San Joaquin and Stanislaus rivers and is on average 2-5 degrees cooler than neighbouring areas, which imparts a distinct freshness and vitality to its wines. This Chard will be soft and round, with apple, pear and peach tones atop a buttery note. Good for roast bird or grilled pork.
