This wine won a Silver Medal at the Wine Access 2011 Canadian Wine Awards . Shiraz has found a fine home in BC ' s Okanagan Valley , and this one bears witness to that . Made in a more Syrah than Shiraz style , it features aromas of blackberry , tobacco , pepper plus a pleasant earthiness . This will reward 2 - 4 years in a cellar , or enjoy it , decanted , tonight with grilled lamb chops and wild mushroom risotto .
