About this product
Vin Jaune is a specialty of the Jura region of France . It is made using a similar technique used to make Sherry , but without the fortification . Using the local Savagnin grape , Vin Jaune wines are aged in partially - filled barrels and left untouched ( except to sample during the maturation process ) in the barrels for a minimum of six years . Oxidation and the growing of a Sherry - like flor are key Vin Jaune ' s flavour . Bottled in a unique 620 mL bottle , this is a very special taste experience .
