This just in : Frappato is not something you order at a fancy coffee house . It ' s actually a rather obscure grape that is well respected in its native Sicily for producing fruity , flavourful wines that are often blended with other varieties ( here , Nerello Mascalese ) to elevate its complexity . DNA analysis has shown one of its parents is Sangiovese , so it has good genes .
