The Côteaux du Layon appellation is only used for sweet wines made from 100 % Chenin Blanc . Though this one is designed for earlier consumption ( 3 - 4 + years ), many Côteaux du Layon can age for a decade or more . The vibrant fruit coupled with the fresh acidity helps give this wine its longevity . Enjoy it now to 2017 with creme caramel or blue - veined cheeses .
