Tasting Notes
... The opening aromatics are lovely, a touch spicy and mildly sweet in a tropical fruit manner; following seven minutes of further aeration the bouquet becomes deeper as the oak enters the equation, lending weight to the delicately sweet aroma that also features honey and beeswax. It's in the mouth that Triomphe triumphs; the palate entry is sinewy, sweet with overtones of marzipan and light caramel; at midpalate the taste profile highlights the oaky vanilla and honey [elements]. Concludes gracefully, composed, integrated, and semisweet ... it still holds up as a Hine icon. Oh, that classic mouth-feel and flavour phase. Highly Recommended.
