Description
Ribera del Duero, situated in central Spain along the Duero River for which it is named, has built a reputation for intense and complex red wines.

Tasting Notes
(aged for 18 months in a combination of new and used French, American and Hungarian oak barrels) Ruby-red. An exotically perfumed bouquet evokes ripe dark berries, vanilla, licorice candy and sexy oak spices. Smooth, sweet and expansive on the palate, offering concentrated blackberry, cherry liqueur and spicecake flavors and showing no rough edges. Closes smooth, supple and broad, displaying an echo of sweet vanilla, harmonious tannins and excellent persistence. Drink: 2019-2027. Score - 92. (Josh Raynolds, vinous.com, Jan. 2017)
