About this product
The Briottet clan have run their beverage alcohol business since 1836 . They were originally wine merchants , but also became important developers of the product we now know as Crème de Cassis . Today , Crème de Cassis represents more than 60 % of their business . This top - end product is neither cloyingly sweet nor does it have noticeable alcohol . It is a fine chilled sipper on its own after dinner , or enjoy it in a classic Kir Royale . With a product this fine , use Champagne in the Royale , not just ordinary sparkling wine .
