Family-owned and -operated Kendall-Jackson has long been a trusted name for Vintages customers and the Vintner's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is an ever-popular sight on many dinner tables. This is from the lauded 2014 vintage and will demonstrate the great depth of ripe dark fruit associated with that superb year. Rich, round and approachable, this is a great wine for grilled lamb or steak.
Tasting Notes
This represents solid value for the solid quality - an expressive wine in dark rich cherry, cinnamon and vanilla notes and one that is sticky in tannin and shows plenty of structure. Blended with small amounts of Cab Franc, Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot, it remains light on the palate in integrated oak. Editors' Choice. [Will drink through 2026.] Score - 90.
