Tasting Notes
Named for the master distiller's grandfather, John Jacôb is a three-year-old 100% rye whiskey aged in charred oak barrels. Very open and sure in its aromas of cereal, orange zest, honey and tree sap. There is a lovely spice complexity on the nose too, notably great allspice and cinnamon notes. Very well balanced with good integration of the alcohol making for smooth and flavourful experience. Round and intense with a spicy finish. (VINTAGES panel, April 2013)
