Tasting Notes
Plume is a new Napa chardonnay by the Stewart Family of B.C.'s Okanagan Valley (also owners of Quails' Gate). It ticks all the boxes for modern Napa chardonnay, perhaps showing a bit more acidity than many, but dressed with quite lavish peach, pineapple and lemon fruit and well integrated toast and spice. It is medium bodied, nicely firm and warming with a spicy, lemony finish and a touch of bitterness. Thankfully not resorting to sweetness. The length is very good to excellent. Score - 89.
