Tasting Notes
This is a very impressive, dark, ripe Cape syrah from Stellenbosch. It has classic South African meatiness and iodine, with syrah pepper and dark cherry/mulberry fruit. It's full bodied, dense, quite firm, tannic and a touch sour edged. The length is excellent, with a mineral finish and just a hint of greenness. Excellent length. Best now to 2023. Score - 91.
