Tasting Notes
There's an extra measure of ripeness and exotic aromatics in this '11 Volnay, with a marked floral note and intriguing pomegranate and Turkish Delight nuances - very inviting in any case. The palate is no more than mid-weight, however, and the flavour intensity is modest in the context of the appellation and price category. Tannins are light but firm, while acids further tighten the texture, though I'd still drink this over the mid-term no more - it lacks the stuffing to go further in my view. Best 2014 -2020.
