About this product
Rolf Binder came to Australia in 1950, and purchased the vineyard, which he named Veritas, in 1955. The name was changed in 2005 to honour Rolf, who had passed away in 2003. Now his son, also named Rolf, serves as winemaker, creating premium red wines made from Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mataro, Malbec, Petite Sirah, Merlot, Grenache and Montepulciano. The 2012 Hales Shiraz is a blend of 89% Shiraz with 4% Grenache and 7% Mataro and will reward 3-5+ years in the cellar.
