Tasting Notes
Here the fruit is more deeply pitched with excellent nuance to the well-layered blue and black pinot fruit that also evidences hints of violets, earth and wet stone. There is a clean and polished mouth feel (in the best sense) to the energetic and saline-infused flavors that are shaped by ripe tannins on the mouth coating, dusty and balanced finish. As it often is, this is a wine of finesse yet it doesn't lack for character and depth. Outstanding. Drink 2023+. Score - 92. (Allen Meadows, burghound.com, Jan. 15, 2014)
