TASTING NOTE: This blend of Cesanese and Montepulciano is intense and spicy on the nose. There's a lot to like here, with plenty of ripe dark fruit, cherry, fig, plum, herbs and forest tones, plus a hint of cocoa emerging at the end. Tangy and smooth, round and lush, but with drying tannins on the long, flavourful finish. Try it with veal cutlets. (Vintages panel, May 2019)
