About this product
Winemaker Christophe Paubert aged this Merlot in French oak barrels (35% new) for 16 months. This deliberate lesser percentage of new oak imparts structure, ageability and a slight spice complexity to the wine while still allowing the fresh fruit flavors to take centre stage. Look for juicy dark cherry fruit, blueberry, violet and spice notes, and pair this with venison stew with root vegetables and wild mushrooms.
