About this product
Red Sancerre is made from Pinot Noir and is produced in quite small quantities. Though the region is now most associated with Sauvignon Blanc, Sancerre was red-wine country prior to the large-scale replanting that followed the phylloxera scourge of the late 19th century. These crisp, fine Pinots suggest aromas and flavours of cherry, beetroot and underbrush and pair well with classic Pinot nosh such as duck, salmon, or lamb chops.
